National Chapter Awards

The national chapter award Form II applications were judged the week of March 10, and the results are listed below. The judging was conducted by two local agricultural education teachers and one area teacher from each of the three regions. The nine judges spent a full day and a half evaluating the 56 Form II applications submitted this year. Each application will be returned with feedback.

Each state is allowed to send only a certain amount of form II applications on for national judging. That number is determined by taking 10% of the total number of chapters in the state. Since we have 251 chapters, Georgia is allowed to forward 25 Form II applications for national consideration this year. Therefore, the judging committee was challenged with selecting the top 25 applications to earn a “Gold Emblem” ranking and move on for national judging this summer. Beyond the top 25, chapters earned either a Silver or Bronze rankings depending on point totals.

The state Chapter Achievement results were also taken from the Form II evaluation. The highest scoring application from each Area was named the Area winner, and among those, the application with the highest score was named the state winner in Chapter Achievement.
