If your chapter will have students exhibiting livestock at the Georgia Jr. National Livestock Show in Perry later this month, please be aware of this information regarding the Herdsman awards.

The rules for the Georgia Junior National Livestock Show Herdsman Contest sponsored by the Georgia National Fair have been updated for 2025. Along with the scoring criteria and rules, the format for chapter registration in the Herdsman contest has been made easier. In each livestock species' barn office, and at the scale during check in, there will be a QR code linked to a google form to register. In 2025 the traditional method of registering by writing out all information in the Herdsman Registration Folder will also be accepted; but we encourage you to consider using the electronic method of registering your chapter for the Herdman contest.
